Adventure Time will always hold a special place in my heart, and with the finale right around the corner, I was compelled to do a shoot with my friend Malicious Cosplay, who was kind enough to humor me and wear my Princess Bubblegum cosplay while I wore Marceline.  This shoot was a dream come true and and I can’t thank my friend Alexandra Lee Studios enough for making these beautiful photos happen.

Construction Notes:

Princess Bubblegum:

Bonnie’s dress is a separate top and skirt and was made using pattern M7071 from McCall’s with some alterations to make it fit the look.  The crown is laser cut gold mirrored acrylic which I heat formed to shape with a blue resin gem.

Marceline:

Marceline’s dress purchased and altered.  When I bought it, it was about a foot too long, so I cut off the bottom and used that fabric to make the “spikes” on the sleeves.  The bass is actually a fully functional bass guitar made from scratch.  It took a lot of research to be able to make it, but having a real bass guitar for Marceline was always a dream of mine.  I currently make these guitars for my Etsy Shop, so you can get your own!
