When I saw Daisy was going to be included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable character, I decided it was time to finally make her ballgown!  I had been wanting to make a ballgown for myself for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity.

Construction Notes:

The ballgown itself, the crown, the earrings, and the brooch are made from scratch while the hoop skirt and gloves were purchased.  I actually found the gloves at an antique shop years ago, long before I started cosplaying.  Who knew this is what I would end up using them for?

The dress was made with a heavily altered pattern from Simplicity and has three separate skirt layers and a separate bodice.  The filigree details are heat transfer vinyl cut by hand and the accessories are all resin cast.
