Nami’s backstory and character development really resonated with me while watching One Piece, so I decided to throw together one of her time skip outfits so I could have it for a comfortable summer cosplay.
Construction Notes:
There wasn’t much in terms of construction for the costume. Its essentially a base of store bought clothing which I modified. I bought a green bikini top and used heat transfer vinyl to add the white design. The circles on my jeans are made with acrylic pieces, painted with spray paints, and they attach on with pin backs. The belt and holster are made with EVA foam and resin cast details. The log pose is a combination of different things, including a hinged bracelet base, wooden pieces, Worbla’s TranspArt, and compass parts. The climitact is made with PVC pipe and the three pieces connect at the ends with Neodymium magnets. They aren’t strong enough to hold the pieces together on their own, but they make it possible to pose with the pole in tact for photos!
