Cia – Hyrule Warriors

Cia had a design I instantly fell in love with, so naturally I wanted to cosplay her! Unfortunately I underestimated the challenge.  This costume took me a total of 8 months to make from start to finish, with many retries in the process. I had to remake the bodysuit 3 times before I was able to get it right.  It was a long struggle, but so worth it in the end.  I ended up wining multiple craftsmanship awards with Cia, and I met some amazing people through this costume too!

Construction Notes:

Cia’s armor is made with my usual craft foam base and Worbla covering.  Her bodysuit is 4 way stretch with gold vinyl stripes hand stitched on. I made the details on the shoes using craft foam, Mod Podge, and painted them with acrylic paints.  The headpiece is a carved expanding foam base with fabric covering and Worbla details.  It stays on my head with magnets on the inside that attach to more magnets sewn into my wig. The mask also attaches with magnets, and the eyes light up with red LEDs! I even used a bit of stained glass work to make her dangly bracelet.
